Fit, made simple
Fit can vary by style. Before ordering, use the measurements and fit notes shown on the product page for the specific item you are considering.
How to choose your size
- Check the product-specific size chart. Do not rely only on the size you usually wear in another brand.
- Measure a similar garment you already own. Compare those measurements with the garment measurements shown on the product page.
- Use the fit notes for that style. Different silhouettes can fit differently even when the labelled size is the same.
Body measurements and garment measurements are different
First check which type of measurement the product chart uses. Compare body measurements with a body-size chart, or a similar garment laid flat with a garment-measurement chart. A flat garment width is not the same as body circumference; do not substitute one for the other.
Body measurements
- Chest / Bust: around the fullest part.
- Waist: around your natural waist.
- Hips: around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
- Shoulder: from shoulder point to shoulder point, where relevant.
- Sleeve: from the shoulder seam to the wrist, where relevant.
- Inseam: from the crotch seam to the hem, where relevant.
What matters most by product type
- T-Shirts and Polos: check chest or bust, shoulder width and garment length.
- Hoodies and Jackets: check chest or bust, shoulders and sleeve length, especially if you plan to layer.
- Dresses: check the measurements highlighted on the individual product page, typically bust, waist and hips where applicable.
- Pants, Leggings, Shorts and Skirts: check waist and hips, plus inseam or garment length where applicable.
Between sizes?
Use the product-specific fit guidance and garment measurements for the item. If the product page does not provide enough information for you to choose confidently, contact HUMANCHIC before ordering.

Many HUMANCHIC pieces are made to order. Review each item's measurements before buying and contact us if you need help.
Where no statutory right applies, HUMANCHIC does not offer voluntary change-of-mind returns or size, colour or style exchanges. Applicable cancellation rights and rights for faulty, incorrect or misdescribed goods remain protected. Being made to order does not automatically make a product personalised or exempt from statutory cancellation.
